Modernize Your Waste Management Without the Capital Burden.
National Energy helps cities, counties, islands, and organizations process solid waste locally, reduce landfill dependence, and modernize infrastructure through long term service solutions.
A Different Way to Think About Waste
Communities spend millions every year managing waste with aging infrastructure, rising disposal costs, and shrinking landfill capacity. National Energy was founded on the idea that this system no longer works.
Instead of treating trash as an endpoint, our modular Resource to Power platforms treat it as a local resource. By processing waste on site, recovering valuable materials, and supporting energy resilience where it makes sense, communities can reduce landfill dependence, modernize waste infrastructure, and gain predictable operational outcomes without needing to fund major capital projects.
This approach shifts waste management from a growing liability into a managed service that delivers measurable operational, environmental, and financial value.
Who We Serve
National Energy works with organizations that manage large volumes of waste and are under pressure to reduce landfill use, control costs, and modernize aging infrastructure without taking on new capital debt.
Our solutions are designed first for communities and public works organizations, with proven applications that also support commercial enterprises, island and remote locations, and military installations seeking resilient, non developmental commercial solutions.

Municipalities & Local Governments
Modernize solid waste management without major capital investment. Reduce landfill dependence, stabilize processing costs, extend landfill life, and upgrade infrastructure through long term service agreements rather than bonds or one time funding.

Private Sector & Commercial Enterprises
Extract more value from waste while lowering processing costs. Improve environmental performance, generate recoverable materials, and create measurable financial outcomes that support operational efficiency and sustainability goals.

Island & Remote Communities
Reduce reliance on imported fuels and long distance waste shipping. Process waste locally, recover materials, and strengthen resilience in locations where space, logistics, and infrastructure options are limited.

Military Installations
Strengthen energy security and resilience by leveraging proven commercial waste processing solutions. Reduce operational costs and support continuity of operations through on site infrastructure upgrades aligned with installation needs.

Modular by Design
National Energy systems are built to solve real world waste management challenges, not force communities into rigid technology models. Each platform is assembled from proven subsystems that can be configured, scaled, and phased to match local conditions, priorities, and long term goals.
Our modular approach allows material processing, segregation, and recycling to align with the specific needs of the community, organization, or region it serves, while remaining adaptable as those needs change over time.
Key Advantages
Infrastructure modernization without the capital expense.
Communities can upgrade aging waste infrastructure without issuing bonds or securing large upfront funding. Long term waste processing and management agreements provide the financial foundation to build modern systems while shifting costs to predictable operating expenses.
Operational and financial clarity.
Clear performance metrics provide visibility into landfill diversion rates, processing volumes, uptime, and financial costs and revenues. This transparency supports confident planning, reporting, and decision making.
Integrated systems built around your specific needs.
Subsystems are combined into a coordinated platform that supports modern waste management practices tailored to each community, enterprise, or installation, rather than forcing a single predefined solution.
Stronger material recovery.
Advanced processing and separation systems capture recyclable and recoverable materials that would otherwise be landfilled, reducing disposal volume and supporting domestic material supply chains.
Customized to local conditions.
Every project reflects local realities such as waste composition, site constraints, regulatory requirements, workforce capacity, and long term operational goals.
Resilient by design.
Independent subsystems allow facilities to maintain performance even as conditions change, supporting continuity of operations and long term reliability.
What We Do
National Energy works alongside communities, business enterprises, and military installations as a long term partner. We help modernize solid waste management practices, reduce landfill dependence, and deliver dependable outcomes without requiring new capital investment or adding operational complexity.
Listen & Plan
We begin by understanding local priorities, regulatory requirements, waste streams, and long term objectives. This planning phase ensures each project aligns with community expectations and operational realities from the start.
02.
Reduce Burden
Our systems simplify waste handling by reducing landfill reliance and minimizing the need for complex sorting, hauling, or infrastructure expansion, easing pressure on public works teams and existing facilities.
03.
Strengthen Resilience
Local waste processing and on site infrastructure support continuity of operations and reduce exposure to external disruptions, helping communities and organizations remain reliable and prepared.
04.
Deliver Ongoing Value
Recovered materials, predictable operating costs, and modernized infrastructure provide long term benefits that extend well beyond waste disposal and support responsible planning.
05.
Stay Accountable
National Energy remains responsible for system performance over the life of the project, providing transparent reporting and ongoing support to ensure results remain consistent over time.

Our Founder
Dave Robau
As an environmental scientist with Air Force Special Operations Command, Dave saw firsthand how waste challenges and fragile energy systems create shared vulnerabilities. He recognized that these issues could be addressed together by using the waste problem as part of the solution for the energy resilience problem.
That insight led to the founding of National Energy USA. Dave has spent his career bringing together environmental science, engineering innovation, and operational requirements to build systems that work for communities, businesses, and military installations alike. His approach is practical, requirements driven, and rooted in collaboration.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this replace existing recycling programs?
It changes how recycling happens. Materials are still recovered, but the need for separate containers and specialized collection routes can be reduced. National Energy’s systems handle sorting and separation within the facility, lowering costs while keeping recyclables and recoverable materials moving back into domestic supply chains.
